How to create the union's missing organi(c)zation level

Next week will be challenging.

For me, and for You, too - if you like. And I hope so.

1.

On Monday morning February 15th between 08.50 and 10:50 AM (UTC+2) I'll make my presentation "EU is YOU - How to create the union's missing organi(c)zation level" on the YLE Areena channel  http://areena.yle.fi/live .

My decision was to do it in English. Even if I speak and write (as you see) very "bad" English.

The message, however is directed to all 500 million citizens of the European union - and the channel can bee seen online globally! And in Finnish just 10 % of the essential people could see and hear it.

What it all is about? Please visit http://www.personaleu.eu and browse there until you think you found it.

And on Monday morning I hope you'll watch - and use your favorite feedback channels to help us take important and wise next steps!

On Friday February 19th i have a meeting at the Finnish Standards Association SFS - and try to bring the Personal EU vision in spotlight as a EU standard candidate. The union seeks new innovative and inspiring standardizing areas, and "the missing organi(c)zation level" sure is worth discussing in this connection. Four high class ITC friends of mine will participate and look at the concept from different views. Fantastic test anyway.

"Anything I can do we can do better". Your feedback already before next week could be essential.

Your Year?

More new friends than ever. Especially Facebook frieds. That's what happened to most of us last year.

Every friend can be important, every comment can be essential. You know that they care when they participate.

The truth however is that 90 % of the friends keep quiet. They just are - but do not do anything with you or for you.

Just like you behave with and for 90 % of your friends.

The new year could maybe bring some new way to develop friendship.

I think about the European union and uniqie union-wide friend teams.

Don't hide your flag any more

The European union is now taking the first steps of a new more meaningful era.

More important than a president of the council is that the Lisbon strategy sets big challenges to a citizen-centric development.

That means that YOU are the center point of this brand new era.

And why not? 

You already are a citizen of the entire union (and your home country).

You already have common borders with the rest of the union - and common money is most of the EU countries.

50% of the law's already come from the union level and are common for all us 500 million citizens.

But how to make the union idea personal?

How to grow your resources to union-level without meeting all its bureaucracy?

Personal EU 

Your union-wide, challenge-high and life-long idea is now closer to it's cometrue than ever.

Please be curious, see it's visions, read it's challenges, participate it's groups!

Especially our Facebook group is inspiring: already people from 50 countries (and EU has just 27).

Together we can easily make an essential Personal EU TeamFinder come true.

Without it there is almost impossible to find "someone like you" from up to each EU country - to be Your unique team.

All great ideas are finally very simple - so is this one.

You just have to find its value to you, personally.

I'm speaking of a new You-centric era that makes the present better.

You-centricity

You are the centre of your world, should be.
But when you try to use it, you find that everything else is in the centre than you.
The internet could have changed it all, but no: it makes everything even worse. You have to split you into small pieces all over the net, register to new and new services, do new and new things - and nothing of it belongs really to your "top ten" or collects it all together to a better you.

There are some services really trying to help you concentrate. But after the first steps you find yourself in the middle of a new jungle - and don't know how to get out of there.

If this is how you feel, you should be interested in the "Personal EU" idea: especially if you are European.

Do it now! And then, let's meet there.

What I try to do for Personal EU just now

Personal EU is a very simple and sharp idea: a team with someone like you from each EU country.

To collect someone from each EU country isn’t the easiest possible challenge – and finding people with similar background and challenge profiles is without special search tools almost impossible. Still it might be possible – a few times.

But what if you like to help everyone create his/her own Personal EU? Because that’s exactly what I’m trying.

What I’ve done – which is not enough at all:

- Developed the Personal EU idea

- Made a site (50 pages in English for it): www.personaleu.eu

- Established Oy Personal EU United Brains Ltd. 2 ½ years ago

- Made daily work to present and lobby the idea to essential information society people from different EU countries

- Presented the idea in tens of seminars

- Run many English and Finnish Personal EU blogs

- Tried 3 times to make it the theme of a EU presidency

- Started a Facebook group Personal EU (http://groups.to/personaleu/) and collecting people from ALL 27 EU countries and 19 more countries there

- and other similar things

What I should and will do next:

- make internet application developers become interested in creating a “Personal EU27 Team Finder”

- propose the Personal EU way of doing to a standard for the European Network of Living Labs.

- go on growing the Personal EU group and asking all my present and new friends (you, too) be very active and creative there.

What do you think will happen within this year?

Personal EU welcomes Google to Finland

Today's Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat tells today that Google will grow its development activities in Europe and start new units here. But Finland is not on the unit map.

"Who makes an error and doesn't correct it makes another error", teached mr. Confucius already 2500 years ago - and that's what Google now should do by quickly coming to Finland, if you ask from me. And why not ask.

The great reason is the challenge of the "Personal EU" concept and its essential lifelong, union-wide and challenge-high content to every citizen in tomorrow's European union AND to all their glocal friends. Ofcourse the concept can be crystallized in any EU country on in any other country - but Personal EU happens to be born in Finland, to me "my baby" and to have its best experts and most flexible team possibilities here.

There are more reasons, too: Nokia, Linux, Jaiku ... many number one innovations have their roots in Finland and the nuances of their deepest understanding live here and meet here in daily life. The important union-wide research and development process "European Network of Living Labs" (ENoll) was launched by the Finnish EU presidency 2006 - and Personal EU sees ENoLL's "citizen-centricity" as a social order to its union-wide daily development.

And finally: Google's Open Social is still missing its "Kernel of the Pudel" - and Personal EU's individual-centric 24/7 toolbox base could be exactly what not just Europe but the entire planet is looking for.

I hope my poor English is good enough to make Google contact me for next steps.

Good news: Your life is just ONE circle

How many heads do You have? I think I guessed? One?

Test 1: In front of the mirror You can see it clearly: just ONE head. The other one isn't real - just a fake. Even if it exists You can manage it: it makes everything exaxtly as You do and say. Now remember this, because the next experiment isn't that easy.

Test 2: In front of Your boss (evereyone has one) ask how many lifes You have. Your personal life? Your professional life? United? Or separated? If she/he says that work is work and life is life and You accept it, then You must have two heads to manage it: 2 different visions, 2 different missions, 2 different value worlds. Is that possible? Or can You fix it without being schizophrenic? Think about it. To be happy You can only have one life, if You ask from me.

To really manage 2 or more lifes You have to bake them together - by making both lifes accept essential things from the other life. How about secrets? If they are patents then they are protected even if You happen to speak about them. If they are sins, then You should go to jail or hell. If they are something between those, then it's up to You.

Just remember taht You have only one head, where unique yarns connect everything together: life, work, happiness, sorrow, laugh, cry... everything. And You can live Your life only on this personal level.

If You are an entrepreneur You have the chance to connect these 2 worlds together - and even teach Your employees ans customers to do it.

Otherwise?

Let's think about it - in a different way than before.
